Along the way you will find interesting places to stop, rest areas, lookouts and viewpoints. The Hardanger Bridge make this a ferry-free connection. On this road trip you will experience the waterfalls and fjords along the Hardangerfjord, the spectacular Måbødalen with a mandatory stop at Vøringsfossen, Norway’s largest waterfalls. The route follows Highway 7 that runs across the Hardangervidda mountain plateau, a mountain plateau with a National Park status. The popular Norwegian mountain town of Geilo offers excellent hiking and nature-based activities. In Hallingdal you can stop in Hønefoss and Vikersund, located in the so-called Kunstnerdalen (The Artists Valley), a valley with beautiful surroundings and a rich cultural diversity. Whether you are starting in Oslo or Bergen the route offers a true nature experience, with many possibilities for activities and accommodations along the way.
